Help Support Marie Curie Cancer Care with Mecca Bingo
Mecca Bingo first made its name prior to the digital age thanks to its land based bingo clubs. The staff and prizes offered made a night at Mecca Bingo a weekly event for many and some even managed to go more often than that.\r\n\r\nThe advent of meccabingo.com has done little to dent that club loyalty and even the smoking ban was not enough to keep people away altogether from their favourite game.\r\n\r\nMecca Bingo has done its best to assist a number of charities with fund raising events in recent years, but for the last 3 years has remained with the same nominated charity, being Marie Curie Cancer Care. This charity raises money to enable it to offer free care in the form of Marie Curie Nurses who are then available to offer care to terminally ill people while they remain in their own home.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDuring November Mecca Bingo is running a Purses for Nurses drive. This is an initiative to get all players and staff to search out their unwanted purses and handbags and to take them to their local Mecca Bingo club. The club will then take the bags and purses to their local Marie Curie Charity Shop where they will be sold to raise the necessary funds.\r\n\r\nOf course, Mecca Bingo online also does its bit. Every month there are a week of special games in the Two Little Ducks room from which 40p in every £1 spent on tickets is donated to the charity, but this month the fundraising will go on all month and one lucky player will walk away the proud owner of a £500 Radley handbag.\r\n\r\nThis is a Mecca Bingo only prize draw and tickets can be earned with every £10 spent on tickets at the bingo site between now and 30th November. Each time that £10 spend in achieved and a prize draw entry secured Mecca Bingo will donate a further 50p to the charity.\r\n\r\nThis is a great relationship between two very famous institution and one that benefits a lot of people.
