Kitty Bingo goes James Bond crazy
Kitty Bingo is not a site that you would automatically associate with James Bond and all things 007, but there does seem to be a common theme appearing in much of the publicity about the site and even within the site itself.\r\n\r\nThe first clue should have been picked up as soon as the site opened and we saw that in amongst the many references the rooms and games had to all things feline, it had a £150 Skyfall jackpot every Wednesday.\r\n\r\nNot long after opening Kitty Bingo released its first TV advert and this also had a James Bond theme, featuring as it does a seated character who you can tell straight away is a ‘baddie’ in a grey suit. He has a cat on his knee that he is stroking just the way arch criminal Blofeld does in James Bond films such as Thunderball and You Only Live Twice.\r\n\r\nA cartoon version of the TV advert character is now in situ on the home page, just to continue the theme.\r\n
\r\nTaking the association one step further, Kitty Bingo commissioned a survey of 1,000 of its players to find out what we love about James Bond and who we think should take over from Daniel Craig when he gives up his gun.\r\n\r\nIn a surprise result Ewan McGregor came top of the poll, beating the man all the newspapers think will secure the role to become the first black James Bond, Idris Elba, into second place. Maybe a more tongue in cheek choice for 3% of those polled was actor and presenter James Corden!\r\n\r\nProbably thanks to his first ever outing as Bond and those famous blue trunks, Daniel Craig is the favourite James Bond to date amongst Kitty Bingo players. On a similar theme the original Bond Girl Ursulla Andress who also emerged from the sea in a skimpy bikini was voted as favourite.\r\n\r\nIt could be that this poll had been in the hands of Kitty Bingo before they shot their TV ad as Ernst Blofeld topped the list as player’s favourite Bond Baddie.\r\n\r\nWhile Adele might the the songstress of the moment and has come up with a brilliant song for the new Skyfall movie, she couldn’t topple Shirley Bassey and the Goldfinger theme from the top spot as favourite Bond theme song.\r\n\r\nIt remains to be seen if the whole James Bond theme continues to run through Kitty Bingo, but it does add a further sense of fun to this brand new site that has proved so popular with players.
